La Traumatolog\u00eda y Cirug\u00eda Ortop\u00e9dica es la especialidad que incluye la valoraci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica, el diagn\u00f3stico, la prevenci\u00f3n, el tratamiento por medios quir\u00fargicos y no quir\u00fargicos y la rehabilitaci\u00f3n <\/b>adecuados a la atenci\u00f3n del paciente portador de enfermedades cong\u00e9nitas y adquiridas, de deformidades y de alteraciones funcionales traum\u00e1ticas y no traum\u00e1ticas del aparato locomotor y sus estructuras asociadas.<\/p>

En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, los avances\u00a0realizados por los\u00a0Traumat\u00f3logos\u00a0y Cirujanos\u00a0Ortop\u00e9dicos\u00a0<\/b> \u00a0han sido espectaculares cuantitativa y cualitativamente, sobre todo en lo que se refiere al desarrollo de nuevas t\u00e9cnicas tanto en el campo del diagn\u00f3stico como en el de la terap\u00e9utica.
